“Porque vivemos pela fé e não pelo que vemos.” II Co. 5.7
Uma das histórias mais bonitas, no antigo testamento, é de Raabe. Infelizmente não tinha boa reputação na cidade, era meretriz, moradora de uma cidade cercada de espessas muralhas, chamado Jericó. A história de Raabe é impactante, e a passagem bíblica nos mostra a capacidade de Deus em proteger e guardar os que amam e confiam NELE. Foi pela fé que Raabe auxiliou os dois homens que Josué, filho de Num, enviou para o outro lado do rio Jordão, para espiarem as defesas dessa cidade, cidade esta chamada de Jericó. Raabe confiou no poder de Deus e adquiriu coragem para ajudar os dois espiões a escaparem dos guardas do rei de Jericó; demonstrando com essa atitude ser possuidora de um coração generoso e capaz de nobres atitudes, porém Raabe não era uma serva do Deus vivo, mas confiou no Senhor naquele momento difícil e teve um coração disposto em ajudar mesmo sendo caluniada naquela cidade. Mesmo sendo de um comportamento reprovável, Deus não a julgou por isso, mas a recompensou pela sinceridade de seu coração, pela fé e boa vontade em prestar auxílio aos seus filhos. Mais uma vez firmou-se a idéia de que o amor verdadeiro e altruísta encobre pecados. Sabemos que assim como Raabe, Josué e o seu povo tinham uma grande fé no Senhor e essa fé fez desabar as muralhas de Jericó depois de rodeadas por sete dias.
A cidade de Jericó era habitada por ímpios Portanto Deus a destruiu com seus moradores. Porém a vida de Raabe e sua família, Deus os livrou.
A história de Raabe propicia-nos um importante aprendizado no sentido de a fé ter um valor imprescindível nas nossas vidas. Pois diante dos problemas somente o dom da fé nos coloca perto de Deus. Em Deus, é o único lugar onde verdadeiramente estamos seguros. Creia nisso, e tenha uma vida de fé e coragem!

Example of faith and courage
"Because we live by faith not by sight." II Corinthians 5.7
One of the most beautiful stories in the Old Testament, Rahab is. Unfortunately did not have good reputation in town, was a harlot who lives in a city surrounded by thick walls, called Jericho.
The story of Rahab is striking, and the passage shows God's ability to protect and save those who love and trust in HIM. By faith Rahab helped the two men who Joshua son of Nun, sent to the other side of the Jordan River to scout the defenses of that city, this city called Jericho. Rahab trusted in God's power and gained the courage to help the two spies to escape from the guards of the king of Jericho, demonstrating that attitude be possessed of a generous heart and capable of noble attitudes, but Rahab was not a servant of the living God, but trusted the Lord in that difficult time and had a heart willing to help despite being maligned in that city.
Despite being one of misconduct, God does not judged by this, but rewarded by the sincerity of his heart by faith and willingness to provide assistance to their children. Again it was firmed the idea that true love and selfless covers sins. We know that just like Rahab, Joshua and his people had great faith in the Lord and faith that brought down the walls of Jericho having been surrounded for seven days. The city of Jericho was inhabited by wicked So God destroyed with their inhabitants. But the life of Rahab and her family, God delivered them.
Rahab's story provides us an important learning experience in the sense of faith have a compelling value in our lives. Well before the problems only the gift of faith puts us closer to God. In God is the only place where we are truly safe. Believe it, and have a life of faith and courage!
